Building Design, Site Design, Construction Supervision
In the center of the busy Uptown District of Dallas on a 2-acre piece of land sits Mutts. The venue is envisioned as an open area dog park with restaurant and bar components. The building structure is designed as a modular unit that can be removed and relocated from the foundation to meet the need for future land development. Two powder-coated sheet metal clad rectangular volumes of 12’ x 12’ x 40’ function as kitchen and bar areas. The structure is surrounded by a large wood deck, and on the lower level lies a sizable crushed granite patio where guests can enjoy the outdoors while their dogs safely roam and play in a spacious, grassy field. A project that was designed with the consideration of future flexibility of land use, Mutts has struck a chord with local Uptown Dallas dog owners since its arrival.
