We were asked to create a brand for a modern and elegant European influenced restaurant and nightclub Dallas concept.
For this concept we looked to roots of the name German family name ‘von’, it’s contextual use and it’s generally used abbreviation (v.) We looked to heavily detailed, decadent iconography, Eugene Von Guerard’s art and typefaces that combined German identity with a contemporary direction.
For the Von brand we took a profile of a bearded man, illustrated in a similar decadent German iconographic style and combined it with a bold, from scratch main brand text. Whether mixed together in detailed circular badges or in a landscape logo, we were able to capture the authenticity of German icons and traditional branding. The branding collateral emphasizes masculinity and strength in a contemporary way.
