With a prime Uptown location, surrounded by stunning city views, we wanted to take causal materials and elevate them for a more upscale feel. We set out to provide a building footprint that enhanced the beautiful views of the surrounding city skyscrapers. Large patios, an open main dining space and bar and a large rooftop terrace were the programmatic stage for an intimate and casual space.
A brick clad monolithic two level structure stands between giant uptown skyscrapers. The main entrance divides into an exterior decomposed granite patio and the main interior polished concrete space. Inside, open structure timber ceilings are lined with carefully positioned black duct work and a sea of mixed polished industrial fixtures. Subway tiled back bars are faced with branding mural walls and combined with a dense fixture installation. Round dining wood 'pods' fit perfectly under the double volume floating stair with floor to ceiling steel cable railing. Upstairs a large wood terrace is laid out with several seat groupings, all framing beautiful views of the Dallas skyline. Intricate textured tiles, heavily grained stained woods and raw concrete mixed with intimate lighting come together for an upscale industrial environment.
