Approach
For this 2.7 acre canvas, we wanted to bring a casual, inherently Texan space to Uptown that brought together modern appropriately rustic design. Using the concept of a separate interior dining space and an exterior entertainment venue patio space, we wanted to create two separate experiences that could easily blend into one another for a range of spatial experiences.
Outcome
Developed as a multi-functional space with a bar and restaurant component and large exterior patio venue, the two are brought together by a central stage that opens to both interior and exterior spaces. The building is laid out as three modules that intersect at different angles, defining exterior courtyard spaces as well as interior dining and smaller venue spaces. Strong, bold main brick building is mixed with a standing seam metal stage structure, tied together by intricate iron and masonry details. Large floor to ceiling wood storage entrances with a central subway tile backed bar give fall in line with its modern cowboy vibe.
